Irish Moss/Sea Moss Gel Recipe

Boost your health with Irish Moss aka Sea Moss! Sea Moss (Chondrus crispus), a species of seaweed (algae) that is found on the Atlantic shorelines of North American, Europe, and the Caribbean Islands. It’s naturally rich in many vital minerals and nutrients, that can improve digestion, increase metabolism, boost immunity and much more. Sea Moss contains 92 minerals that is found in the human body. SEA MOSS/ IRISH MOSS GEL RECIPE

  • Thoroughly rinse a handful (about 1Cup) of the dried sea moss in water to remove any sand and debris.
  • Place the sea moss into a bowl and fill with pure water (can add lemon or lime).
  • Soak overnight, or at least 8-12 hours, rinse and strain.
  • Add the sea moss to a blender, add just enough water to cover it, about 2 cups works well.
  • Blend until smooth, which may take a few minutes until creamy, It’s pourable at this point but will solidify when chilled.
  • Pour into a glass jar and refrigerate.
  • Stores in the refrigerator for 3-4 weeks, start with 1 tablespoon a day, in smoothies, teas, soups, or just straight out the jar!
